Handmade Mosque Book Nook

Image
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ This is another book nook we made inspired by our  first one , the idea was originally by Khadijah and we just love how it turned out! Alhammdulilah We tried to make it look as elegant and neat as possible,  in order to achieve that look we thought gold would go well.                                            The mic was created with an earbud, we cut the lower part in order that it wouldn't be  too long and attached a tiny circle of brown foam so it can stand, then we painted the upper part black so that it would look similar to a mic. The door was from an earbud set's lid. The name of this mosque is مسجد الإحسان (Masjid Al Ihsan). .. All the tiny adorable Arabic calligraphy  was done by Hanah, mashaAllah. Alhamdulilah! We are super happy to realize that everything was totally handmade  and we are very...

Customizing Wooden Pen Holders

Image
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ It's  Khadijah here, Today I have another exciting craft I customized recently. Recently, as I was walking into a craft shop I noticed an ordinary yet cute set of pen holders lying on the shelf, and we both fell in love with them immediately - knowing that we could customize them and we pictured how they would look! Here's how they looked initially :  They were adorable clearly, but the animals had all facial details making them impermissible to display. Thus, I came up with the idea of night and sunrise themed: the starry/night themed one is the cat pen holder, as cats are up at night whilst the sunrise one is the  giraffe  pen holder as giraffes graze and are up early morning. Here's the after :                                 Alhammdulilah, the pen holders look so cute on our desks and really add colour to our space. That's it for today, until next ti...

Handmade Cafe Book Nook

Image
Assalamualykum everyone! It's Hanah here.  Recently, a friend suggested the idea of making a book nook together, we had never heard of that name and it sounded interesting to us and so we got motivated to create one.  After two days of crafting together, Alhammdulilah this is how it turned out to be! The name 'KASHA' is the initials and second letters of three of our names, We didn't use store-bought accessories, instead, we crafted and designed the furniture and décor. The adorable mini food on the shelves was crafted by our talented cousin, using polymer clay. Here is it on the bookshelf : The charming food served on the table was made by our friend, it includes a pizza, a slice of it and spaghetti with meatballs (Though she's a vegetarian!). We hope you got inspired and motivated to create something like this as well.  ‏اَلسَلامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اَللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ‎
