‏اَلسَلامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اَللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ It's Khadijah here! In today's post, I'll be sharing with you the artwork and creative pages of my journal of 2023.  After I shared my current  journal of 2024 (Jan - April) , I felt it would be a lovely idea to as well share my previous work.  Let's get into it! JOURNAL 2023 I customized the cover of the plain book. My favourite part about the cover is the 3-D flowers, they add so much texture along with the bumpy painted flowers.    This picture I drew mirrors a real photograph of my cousin sister, my sister and I - when we went on a trip together. A special card That's it for today, I hope you gained an interest towards creative journaling as well. InshaAllah, Until next time, Stay creative and Get inspired!

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ It's Khadijah here! I started journaling three years ago and since then I've realized that it's my second favourite hobby after gardening, Alhamdulillah.  My previous journals didn't involve artwork or any creativity - I simply only wrote. But as my passion for journaling progressed, it became impossible to not combine my love for art with journaling. So I started to develop my own style of journalling which meant that I do artwork in between my daily records of my life, plans and realizations.  That worked and works with me ideally, Alhamdulillah. I write daily like before, however - draw whenever I'm free and liven my journal with colour and artwork. This has made my journals even more special to me as I have a connection with my artwork and doodles. Today, I'm elated to share with you the creative work on my latest journal, my journal of 2024, Jan - April.  Here's my customized journal cover (Jan - Ap...

Recreating our childhood art

Image
ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ It's Hanah here... We have a huge file of artwork and crafts that we did when we were very small, we have named it our ' memory journal' . As years have passed by, we have improved in our art, Alhammdulilah.  We both decided to 'recreate' some of our art work in the memory journal. It was very fun and challenging, especially to see whether our art skills have improved or if it is still stagnant and childish.  First up, I recreated a picture of my own :  After recreating it :  Then, I recreated Khadijah's baby drawing :  This is Khadijah's drawing that she was going to recreate : After re- drawing it : (whoops, the camera angle is wonky!) Khadijah recreated my baby drawing :  Alhammdulilah this was a very fun project and we hope to continue this InshaAllaah in the future, this idea wasn't our original and was inspired by two  YouTubers . Until next time, Assalamualykum.
