A futile apology

Image
A futile apology A short narrative.   Slowly, carefully…I entered the room. My heart pounded; emotions escalated; limbs trembled; what was I going to expect? The room was decorated with gaudy and bold shades of red wallpaper that maliciously smirked at me in revenge whenever I raised my head or got lost in a cloud of delusional thoughts. I hesitated to glance at the grandfather clock, which ticked in ponderous reminder. It emitted a slow and paced, monotonous sound that echoed and rebounded back onto the hollow walls - hollow and empty, lost out of life. The atmosphere — musty and cold- wrapped me in a suffocating, heavy, inescapable trap; it enveloped me, it made me feel heavy — my chest felt uneasy. The hefty and bulky teak furniture dominantly sat in place; heavy cotton curtains cascaded down onto the floor like a waterfall, blocking every inch of sunlight that hoped to enter the room through the window. In the corner of the room, there was a photograph stuck onto the wall. A sm...

My Dream House

The house was large and rectangular, its structure determined that it was designed with much diligence. It stood in the center of an immaculate lawn, surrounded by common lilacs and Azaleas trimmed in bushes, bright - colored and vibrant -  creating a vivid and lively atmosphere. The subtle and soft fragrance of blooming flowers, breezy wind that encircled through made them swing and dance all along in different directions. A big, naturally carved pond was found in the corner, it had impressive, eye-catching, lively koi fish that swam through. Attractive garden chairs surrounded the big, wooden, table with an exquisite glass top. Sturdy light grey bricked walls surrounded the garden, the graceless bougainvilleas peered through the wall and reclined on it. A tall, broad, rectangular building stood connected to the right of the wall, it was built with luxurious precious stones that shone upon reflecting the sunlight, Tall, huge glossy French - windows gleamed, and the tilled steps th...

A summary of the discovery of the sub - atomic particles

Image
Photo by Norbert Kowalczyk on Unsplash The first of the sub atomic particle to be discovered in the atom was the electron. Physicists had learned to control and create electrical flows, however, to discover what electricity was, it required the separation of the properties of electricity from the wire or material which was impractical because when electricity flows through the wire or other material that creates an electric charge, it is impossible to separate the two. The method that could be executed in order to separate electricity from the particular materials that hold it was by studying the flow of electricity through a vacuum or near a vacuum. In 1858 Johann Geissler's invention of the improved air pump made it possible to extract sufficient air from a glass tube creating a near-vacuum in the tube. The Crookes tube contained a glass tube with a near-vacuum and a wire that carried along an electric current at one end called a cathode and at the other end, a positively charge...

Are Science Experiments And The Modern World Leading Towards Animal Torture?

Image
Science and our modern world As our modern world becomes more civilized as well as sophisticated, the world of Science proves to broaden along with it.   No doubt we are living in a world that interconnects with the help of  Technology and Science, these two factors have impacted greatly on our society, where education is widespread and knowledge is provided without limits. Scientists continue to research, test, and evaluate current situations around the world, they try to find a solution for each mystery and present it to the desperate humankind begging for a way out.  Scientists have been carrying out experiments for decades and decades, some of which are essential and others that are unwanted and create more damage to humans and animals. The ultimate purpose of science is to figure out puzzles within the world and universe, where we finally devise a solution to help it out. Even so, as humans predominantly depend on scientists, the iniquitous group of scienti...

Night.

Night The hushed serene night is dull and soundless.     Noiseless, peaceful.                                                     The darkness of soot-black spreads through,   None is up, except a few. The lonesome owl hoots, Rain pours down into the trees' roots, The little bird's nests are warm and cozy.  The outside lights are dim and mothy.    Cats wait to catch their prey,       While mice scurry down a pile of hay. The tranquil night passes by,      As the vibrant stars light the sky,         As a decoration fo...

Computers : workers or bosses?

Image
No doubt computers have had a great influence and is a big advantage to our society. Car manufacturing robots are extremely useful and a great advantage to companies. Robots can improve quality and protect workers from dangerous and difficult tasks, and they are highly repeatable and precise and never tire or fail to do their job, they can work on a 24/7 working basis which makes things much faster.  One of the main advantages is that robots prevent a lot of dangerous risks to humans like keeping workers away from exposure to fumes from welding, painting and loud noises or lifting heavy objects from one place to another. They have another advantage that's a powerful asset to car manufacturing companies as robots 'vision' help machines do more precise work using laser and camera array that provides immediate feedback, this makes work more efficient in the assembly line. However, this doesn't mean robots need to take over the car manufacturing industry because humans are...

What's The Purpose And Value Of Art

Image
Art. A three letter word that has a great meaning, often misunderstood, interpreted and judged wrongly by many people. It's a way of describing one's feelings emotionally, physically, inwardly or outwardly, and it can be created in multiple different ways whether it be abstract, 2D or 3D or detailed. Many people misunderstand Art to be a 'waste' of time and give greater value to other topics, without really knowing what Art is, and how it has an impact on us. They keep questioning about art and if it's even that necessary? And most importantly, if it's valuable for our life? and if studying art is different from artistic freedom. Art helps bring out and eventually pour your emotions, feelings, from deep inside yourself into a blank piece of paper, canvas, object or basically anything you decide to express your inner thoughts to. It arouses happiness, contentment and fulfillment to the artist and brings out a natural uplifting emotion nobody can describe unless y...
