A Weekend Of Crafts

Image
Assalamualykum! In this post, we have combined 4 DIY crafts we made throughout the weekends.  1. Customizing a birdhouse This birdhouse was bought from a clay shop, it was super adorable the way it was but we noticed a door-like shape on each side so, in order to make it a bit more interesting, we turned it into a house-vase! Before :  After :  We added a border out of foam for the window and door in order that they would have a                                                                       three-dimensional look. These beautiful flowers are from our grandmother 💗 2. Painting over a piece of wood  We couldn't give up this piece of wood as it has a lot of memories, so instead of leaving it as it was - we decided to give it a 'makeover'. Before : After :  3. Sturdy light grey bricked walls surrounded the garden, the graceless bougainvilleas peered through the wall and reclined on it. A tall, broad, rectangular building stood connected to the right of the wall, it was built with luxurious precious stones that shone upon reflecting the sunlight, Tall, huge glossy French - windows gleamed, and the tilled steps that m

Mini figurines made out of beads

Assalamualykum everyone! After finding these oddly shaped beads from a chain, we decided they would make the perfect little figurines for our  handmade mosque book nook .                               The beads we used as bodies :  We used round beads as the heads They are simple however we had a hard time trying to fix the hair of the girl and fix the other tiny details on their heads. The worst part was when we noticed their faces looked like ghosts (the original colour of the beads that represented their heads was black) and we painted it white - although we barely had white paint.                                                                              Wassalam
