DIY miniature aquarium in a jar

Image
Assalamualikum,  Today we are excited to share this handmade jar aquarium we made for our beloved Grandfather; he was elated with the special gift as he adores aquariums and fish, Alhammdulilah!  In fact, he inspired and encouraged us to start keeping fish and even gifted an aquarium to us, in which we now keep goldfish! His dedicated and passionate nature towards the hobby, despite his old age, always motivates us to never give up this wonderful hobby. He placed the aquarium jar on his desk and cherishes it greatly, Alhammdulilah. The creations inside the jar are totally handmade from craft foam and other materials.                                            We used an ordinary jam jar, this is the before :                                           And the aft...

A Weekend Of Crafts

Image
Assalamualykum! In this post, we have combined 4 DIY crafts we made throughout the weekends.  1. Customizing a birdhouse This birdhouse was bought from a clay shop, it was super cute the way it was originally but we wanted to make it more interesting so we did something contrasting, bright and creative : an adorable house vase! Before :  After :  We added a border out of foam for the window and door in order that they would have a                                                                       three-dimensional look. These beautiful flowers are from our grandmother 💗 2. Painting over a piece of wood  We couldn't give up this piece of wood as it holds a lot of memories to us, so instead of leaving it as it was - we decided to give it a 'makeover'. Before : After :  3....

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله Khadijah here. Alhammdulilah I made these little crafts from household materials I found, it was very interesting to re-cycle them. These were made from an old cloth bag that my older sister had when she was a baby. Mama samosa Papa samosa big-eyed baby samosa This is Ollie - the fifth member of our family, she is a six-month-old kitten that we picked up from the streets. These plushies were mainly made for her - she thankfully loves them (papa samosa best, for no reason!)  and really enjoys playing with them. Using the wood pieces that always comes in a canvas packaging, I made this sign that is pasted in front of our door. Home sweet home inspired. This was a filter initially, I turned it into a pot and planted Basil plants. Saplings of Holy basil (Tulsi) in a DIY filter bag pot wrapped with twine Perhaps you remember we said long ago we'll show the  patterned paper wall posters  project, it was finished some months ago. The lamination and...
