How to wash a (pet) chicken

Assalamualykum everyone!

In today's post, we're going to be showing you how to wash a (pet) chicken...
You don't necessarily need to wash your chicken because they often have "mud baths" and that's enough to keep them clean, however, you might need to wash them in some situations : your chicken might be sick and you need to clean her/him, you want to take your chicken for a show, or you just want to wash your chicken in order to cuddle with it -  just like us!

So let's begin by washing our hen Custurd! 

                                         
                                                           You will need :

1.  Mild shampoo

2.  A toothbrush 

3.  A basin of plain lukewarm water

4.  A basin of soapy water (lukewarm)

5.  A teaspoon of salt (to get rid of ticks and mites)

6.  A blow dryer (optional)

7.  A towel 


                                                                      Step 1 :
                                               Calm your chicken down 

Step 2 :

Add a teaspoon of salt into the basin of soapy water and mix it

Step 3:

 Gently place your chicken into the soapy water and start scrubbing it (the combs, wattles, legs, under the wings, etc. 

Step 4 :

After you are done place the chicken into the basin of plain water and wash all the soap away

Step 5 :

Using a towel gently wipe your chicken

Step 6 :

If it is cold outside you may want to also blow-dry her/him
