Fascinating Falcons

Emirates consider falcons as a symbol of Pride and Heredity

Beduin in The United Arab Emirates and the wider Arabian Peninsula have been practicing falconry and carrying it from generation after generation. This was mainly practiced as an important form of hunting in the desert.

Today Falconry is one of UAE's most honored sports as it has a strong link to heritage, courage, culture, and strength.

Hunting with falcons is banned in UAE however, the sport is widely practiced.
Eager to preserve the traditional and cultural heritage of falconry, the UAE's royal families are taking steps to keep falconry alive and thrive for the younger generation of emirates.

There are many programs that release wild falcons back to nature such as the Sheikh Zayed Falcon Release Programme, where the medical inspection is done by the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. By rehabilitating those wild falcons for release.
