Who needs fireworks?
A few moments of awe and enjoyment deludes many people from the realities of fireworks, the harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere harm our environment, animals and people, metallic compounds that are inside fireworks are very harmful and cause numerous dangers, the oxidizers, (perchlorates) that are used to produce oxygen tin order to create an explosion can contaminate drinking water, rivers and lakes, which would no doubt effect people and animals.
Moreover, the infinite number of dangers and risks that humans put themselves into is innumerous, fireworks can cause blindness and maiming, the high levels of suspended particulate matters (SPM) that are released in large amounts cause many eye, nose and throat problems, it causes headaches and reduces mental sharpness.
Not only does it severely effect patients suffering with asthma due to the smoke emitted into the atmosphere, but the noise levels are also destructive enough to cause permanent hearing loss, high blood pressure and tinnitus.
In addition to that, the harms of fireworks on animals are numerous, they experience extreme stress, damage to the hearing organs and undergo harmful side-effects because of the chemical properties, millions of birds die each year due to a high degree of stress and fright, they crash into buildings or the sea.
While most people are unaware of the threatening dangers that are within a firework, it is our sole duty to educate ourselves and our children concerning the dangers of this pollutant, millions of money is wasted just for a fleeting moment of entertainment, the after - effects, dangers and harms of fireworks on our environment, animals and people is substantially greater than a few minutes of awe.
