A hearty - healthy meal!


                                      
                                        Assalamualykum!

      Today's post is going to be on how to make a healthy meal with black-eyed peas,
       It's originally made by our mum and she would love to share it with you all!







You will need :

1. Black-eyed peas - 500g

2. Salt - 1 tsp

3. Tomato paste - 2 Tbsp

4. Tomatoes - 4

5. Curry leaves - 2/4 sprigs 

6. Ginger & Garlic paste - 1 Tbsp

7. Oil - 2/3 Tbsp

8. Onions - 4


Method:

1. Soak the black-eyed peas overnight,

2. Boil with salt till it's very tender, you may wait till the water evaporates.

3. Temper the sliced onions, ginger & garlic paste, curry leaves and cubed tomatoes for two minutes.

4. Add the tomato paste and stir in the black-eyed peas, sprinkle a pinch of salt if you wish.
